Vijaydurg
This fort is located in Devgad taluka of Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. Vijaydurg was built by King Bhoj II of Shilahar Empire. The fort was built in the eleventh century. This fort was first known as Gheria. The fort was spread over just 5 acres of land. In 1653 Shivaji maharaj took this fort from Adil Shah of Bijapur. And the fort was renamed as Vijaydurg. The fort was rebuilt by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This fort is now spread over 17 acres. The fort has surrounded by sea by three sides. This fort is one of the two forts of the Maratha empire, Where Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj himself waved the saffron flag. The second fort is Torna. After the death of Shivaji's maharaj son Sambhaji maharaj , the fort moved back to Mughal Empire.
Torna Fort

Shivneri fort
Shivneri fort is situated near Junnar in Pune district of Maharashtra. It is a historical fort, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born on this fort. Shivaji Maharaj was the founder of the Maratha empire. maharaj father was a Mughal commander, seeing the constant wars; he was concerned about the safety and this fort was very importnat. In 1820, this fort was under the control of the British Empire after the Third Maratha War.
Panhala Fort
The panhala Fort was built between 1178 and 1209 CE, one of 15 forts (others including Bavda, Bhudargad, Satara, and Vishalgad) built by the ruler of Shilahara Bhoja II. The aphorism Kahaan Raja Bhoj, kahan Gangu Teli is said to be associated with this fort. A copper plate found in Satara shows that Raja Bhoja held the court at Panhala from 1191-1192 CE. Around 1209–10, Bhoja Raja was defeated by Singhana (1209–1247), the most powerful of the Devgiri Yadavas, and the fort was subsequently passed into the hands of the Yadavas. Apparently it was not well cared for and passed by several local chiefs. In 1376, inscriptions record the Nabhapur settlement to the southeast of the fort.
Raigad Fort
Raigad is a hill fort located in Mahad, Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. Fort Raigad, formerly known as Rairi, was built by Chandraraoji More, the King of Jawali, who was later captured by Shivaji Maharaj who made it his capital in 1674 when he was crowned King of the Maratha Kingdom, who later became Maratha .
